(Miami, FL) - Former White House economic adviser Peter Navarro reported to Miami's federal prison this morning for defying a congressional subpoena regarding January sixth.

Navarro made a last-ditch bid for a Supreme Court intervention after the DOJ made him a rare example.

Navarro argued that executive privilege should have applied to him. He now hopes the high court will decide in his favor on the executive privilege argument.

"I am the first senior White House adviser in the history of our republic that has ever been charged with this alleged crime." he said before he surrendered.

Navarro is expected to serve 90 days of his four-month sentence per federal law.
