Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust hosting "A Conversation About Wealth Creation" at the Perez Art Museum tonight in honor of Black History Month. Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins says they're now accepting applications to "mom and pop" grant programs. The grant will give up to 5-thousand-dollars to eligible businesses. It is open to any business located in the district for more than a year, but owners who have received the grant recently are not eligible. Applications must be handed in to the South Dade Government Center by March First.
