South Florida Man Arrested For Biting Daughter’s Face in Front of Police

Miami-Dade, FL - A northwest Miami-Dade man who sought police assistance regarding disciplinary action for his 14-year-old daughter was arrested after biting the teen in front of police.

Authorities say Gerald Thelusme, of Pinewood, called police on Wednesday afternoon seeking help to discipline his teenage daughter for her alleged misbehavior.

Upon police arrival at Thelusme's residence, tensions escalated, resulting in Thelusme becoming agitated and biting the girl's cheek, causing it to bleed.

The altercation was documented via the officer's body cameras, and Thelusme reportedly admitted to the offense.

Thelusme was arrested on a charge of child abuse causing no great bodily harm.

He remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $2,500 bond as of Thursday.
