Big honors for two star athletes who honed their craft in Palm Beach County.

The Class of 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees were announced at Thursday night's NFL Honors ceremony. Among the class is Riviera Beach native Devin Hester, who is considered by many to be the greatest return specialist of all time.

Hester attended Suncoast High School before becoming a star at the University of Miami.

Drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2006, he is the only player to return the Super Bowl opening kickoff for a touchdown, doing that against the Colts in Super Bowl 41.

Hester is the second player from Palm Beach County to make the Hall of Fame, joining former Saints linebacker Rickey Jackson.

Meanwhile, Boynton Beach High alum Lamar Jackson has won his second NFL Most Valuable Player award. Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to the NFL's best record in the regular season.
