Boynton Beach Police are putting out a warning about an increase in car burglaries in one neighborhood.
The area of concern is close to Barrier Free Park, off South Congress Avenue and North Charter Drive.
The police department urges the public to be alert and proactive to avoid falling victim, and provides some tips.
They include locking up your vehicle at all times, even if you're just stepping away for a moment, park in well-lit areas, avoid leaving valuables like laptops, wallets, purses and electronics visible in your vehicle and when shopping, conceal shopping bags in the trunk until you've had the chance to bring your new items into your home.
Police also want to hear from anyone who notices suspicious activity in the area.
