The Palm Beach County School District is touting its new graduation rate, which tops the statewide average.
Earlier this week, we told you that Governor Ron DeSantis announced the state's high school grade rate for the 2022-23 academic year was 88 percent.
Superintendent Mike Burke says Palm Beach County's 90.5 percent graduation rate leads all large urban school districts and rose 3.4 percentage points in the past five years.
The rate was even better at seven schools which saw rates of 99 percent or higher.
They include Alexander Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Olympic Heights Community High, Spanish River High, Suncoast High, Village Academy Center, Palm Beach Virtual School and West Boca Community High School. Village Academy and Palm Beach Virtual had 100 percent graduation.
Only four schools had graduation rates that were lower than 90 percent. They were Boynton Beach High, Lake Worth High, Palm Beach Lakes High and the Royal Palm School.
