A Broward County business is cutting jobs due to what it calls ongoing economic challenges. Tamarac's CITY Furniture laid off 39 employees. That represents about one-and-a-half percent of its 26-hundred workers across the state.
The company tells the South Florida Sun Sentinel it reduced operating costs to reflect the current level of demand.
The company is still projected to hold a job fair on Wednesday, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., Fort Lauderdale.
