Miami-Dade, FL - Miami-Dade police are investigating the death of 29-year-old Alexander Andres Torres, who was found deceased in his Kendall home on Tuesday evening.
A friend, concerned about not reaching Torres, conducted a wellness check around 7 p.m. and discovered him dead in the garage.
The exact cause of death remains undetermined, pending examination by the medical examiner.
Initial reports indicate Torres' own dog, a large brown brindle and white terrier mix, may have been involved.
Neighbors described the dog as friendly and non-aggressive in past interactions.
Miami-Dade Animal Services responded to the scene and retrieved the dog.
They are currently assisting the police investigation.
"This is a tragic incident," said Detective Andre Martin of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "Our deepest condolences go to the family of Mr. Torres."
Further details surrounding the event remain unavailable as the investigation continues.
