A Georgia man is being held in Martin County after he was caught on a doorbell camera, prowling the area, taking photos of a home and trying to peer inside.
When Sheriff's deputies approached 48-year old John Childers, he claimed to be homeless and looking for a place to live.
He was arrested and charged with prowling before authorities learned he had been convicted multiple times and is wanted in his home state for violating probation. But that's not all...
"The area of Georgia where he's from has had so many issues with him, they don't want him back. They don't want to bring him back and incarcerate him again and then him bond out and be in their jurisdiction."
Chief Deputy John Budensiek tells CBS 12 News that Childers has been in prison for a variety of convictions like aggravated assault, burglary and DUI. He is also a suspect in other crime in Martin County.
