Suspect Linked to Shootings in Miami-Dade Connected to String of Crimes

Miami-Dade, FL - A suspect who was arrested for a deadly double shooting in northwest Miami-Dade County on Saturday has been tied to various other criminal incidents across South Florida.

Police say 32-year-old Lekambrick Hanna was allegedly involved in a series of peculiar events, including the theft of a firetruck that led to a wild police chase in May.

With a criminal history dating back to 2010, Hanna is now facing second-degree murder charges for a shooting near the intersection of Northwest 143rd Street and 16th Court.

During the shooting, Hanna approached a vehicle with two occupants, pointed a firearm at the driver's window, and opened fire.

In court on Sunday, a judge noted during his hearing that Hanna is also facing charges related to the theft of a City of Miami bus.

Hanna is also linked to a bizarre incident in May, where he allegedly stole a firetruck and initiated a tri-county police chase that concluded in Palm Beach County.
