A longtime Florida public transportation executive was laid to rest today.
Clinton B. Forbes served as executive director of Palm Tran, Palm Beach County's public transportation agency, since November 2015.
The 55-year old passed away earlier this month, though the cause of death has not been reported.
His daughter, Janai Chambers, tells CBS 12 News how she'll remember her father.
"My dad was extremely fun-loving that's the immediate word that comes to mind. He was very silly, super crazy, the total opposite of what we would see in his executive leadership meetings or his presentations. He was very present. Anything that we needed, anything that we wanted he was there to support us. He was very kind and he shared his love for others through us and we just hope to continue that legacy for him."
Forbes had more than 30 years in public transportation, working for Miami-Dade Transit and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority before joining Palm Tran.
His employer credits Forbes for the following:
Opening of a new $25 million, LEED certified Administrative Headquarters in Delray Beach
Adding a Mobility-on-Demand service known as Go Glades in the Glades region of Florida
Restructuring the entire fixed-route bus network through the Route Performance Maximization (RPM) project
Introducing a performance management program known as Palm Tran Statistics
Implementing a new Paradise Pass smart card and mobile fare payment system.
