Two Indian River County Elections Being Held Next Week

There are no statewide elections until next year, but two Indian River County cities have races up for grabs next week.

Voters in Sebastian and Vero Beach are electing city council members next Tuesday, November 7th.

In the Sebastian election, Mayor Fred Jones, Vice Mayor Christopher Nunn and Council Member Bob McPartlan are running for re-election. Other candidates include Damien Gilliams and Damian Gilliams Junior, as well as Sherrie Matthews. Voters can select up to three candidates in the race.

The Vero Beach City Council election features Mayor John Cotugno running for re-election and two new candidates, Taylor Dingle and Honey Minuse. Voters can select up to two candidates in the race.

There is no early voting for these elections. Polls will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and you cast a ballot at your designated polling place.

Vote by mail ballots must be requested by Monday and received by the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
