Among the pro-Israel demonstrations going on across the state, one near Boca Raton on Monday.
Students and staff from Florida Atlantic University gathered to hold signs, pray and sing Israel's national anthem. Israeli student Inbal Schachar tells CBS 12 News that her family and friends still live in Israel.
"All I wanna do is just leave everything here and just be with my family and comfort them. It's like the only thing I wanna do right now."
Sadly, she says she found out that two of her friends passed away. One was murdered at a music festival and the other is a soldier who has fallen.
Another student, Ariana Hoblin, says she is still waiting for a text from a childhood friend in the Israeli defense forces.
"The last thing that I've heard from her was Saturday morning and it was 'I'm so scared.'"
Rabbis also took part in the protest west of Boca Raton, leading prayers and providing words of wisdom to students.
