A big change is coming to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for the new Terminal Five. It'll be the airport's first new-build terminal in decades. It's being built to accommodate expected growth. FLL officials estimate they'll have 17 million more annual passengers within 20 years. Broward Mayor Lamar Fisher says he looks forward to the positive ripple effects of having another airport terminal for travelers to enjoy. Work is set to be done by mid-2026.
