Tropical storm warnings are being issued along parts of the East Coast as a system that could soon be named Ophelia forms over the Atlantic.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami reports the low-pressure system is currently called Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 and has winds of about 40 miles-per-hour.
Nearly seven-million people in the Carolinas and the Mid-Atlantic are currently under tropical storm warnings.
