For Protecting the Palm Beaches brought to you by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, we honor PBSO Detective Tim Barbusio who received the 2023 Wellington Top Cop award at Wellington's Village Council meeting this week.
He was selected through a vote of the village's Public Safety Committee.
Barbusio has served for more than 35 years, including the last three in the agency's Wellington district.
The detective initiated 65 long-term financial cases last year, including one that involved a bail-bond scam that targeted victims across the country.
The Sheriff's Office on Facebook, says that Detective Barbusio has a "true passion for investigative excellence, suppression of crime and exceptional service to the community."
