Some of South Florida's elite teams are back home after deployment to Hurricane Idalia hit areas. Miami Dade Fire Rescue's Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1 and the City of Miami Fire Rescue’s Task Force 2 consisting of officers from several different agencies in the county were ready for anything. Most of their attention, however, fell on search efforts. They report that fortunately no residents were found trapped.
Having just returned from rendering aid in the Maui wildfires, these teams had not only their equipment and supplies but also K-9 units to help search for victims in fallen structures.
