A Monroe County couple is facing charges for the January 6th riot. Court documents recently released show Marathon's Bryan and Tonya Bishop were arrested recently for their participation in the Capitol insurrection. Fifty-one-year-old Bryan is facing charges that include assaulting police officers with a dangerous or deadly weapon. Forty-seven-year-old Tonya is facing charges that include disorderly conduct in the US Capitol. The the two are due in court today in Key West.
FBI agents claim Bryan sprayed an irritant in the faces of two Metropolitan Police Department officers, one of whom was temporarily blinded.
Since the insurrection on January 6th, 2021, more than 1,000 arrests have been made... with about 500 of those suspects being sentenced.
