The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office this week launched a new program...the first Paws and Stripes South College with their therapy dogs.

The dogs, provided by Big Dog Ranch Rescue, have been training all week to be able to serve the community.

In a series of videos on Facebook, deputies explain that two of the dogs are going to be sent to the Hamilton Police Department in Ohio to serve that area.

They brought the trainees to several places this week, including the Gardens Mall, a Home Depot store, even PBIA to get them used to different environments.

In their respective communities they may visit schools, car crashes, even catastrophic events.

The dogs are expected to graduate on Friday from the Therapy Dogs Academy.
