Arraignments for a South Florida school principal and four staff members have been postponed.

Palm Beach Central High School Principal Darren Edgecomb, two of his assistant principals, a teacher and a former counselor at the school were all scheduled to be back in court on Thursday. Those hearings were canceled, though all of the newly scheduled dates are not yet known.

They each face a charge of failing to report a suspected sexual abuse of one of the students.

Under state law, all school employees are required to report to DCF any cases of abuse that are brought to their attention.

The Palm Beach County School District says that local public schools go "above state requirements," with a spokeswoman in a statement saying all District employees are required to complete online training through the Florida Department of Children and Families."
