Jury scams hitting South Florida and officials want you to know the signs. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava says fraudsters are calling potential jurors and telling them they have to pay fees or face being arrested after missing a report date. Cava says summons for duty or notice regarding missed service are paper based adding they never call to harass about payments or personal information. Officials say the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is currently investigating cases out of South Florida. The office of Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody was investigating similar cases out of at least five other Florida counties last year.
