Recent poll numbers aren't favorable for Governor Ron DeSantis, who's expected to announce a campaign for the White House this week.
The latest survey from Harvard-Harris ending last week shows former President Trump as the favorite among GOP candidates with DeSantis trailing by 42 points, 58% to 16%.
Political analyst Dr. Susan MacManus says a problem for DeSantis and other Republicans is the number of potential candidates taking on Trump for the nomination.
DeSantis is reportedly holding a meeting with donors in Miami this week which will serve as a soft-launch for his campaign with a more formal announcement potentially coming next week.
