An update to a story about a tri-county police pursuit that started with the theft of a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck Thursday night.

31-year old Lekambrick Hanna has made his first court appearance, facing a felony charge of grand theft of emergency medical equipment. His bond was set at $25,000 and he will be back in court on June 20.

Authorities say Hanna stole that fire truck while fire rescue workers were conducting training exercises near North Miami Beach.

He crashed into an unoccupied Opa Locka Police cruiser and then drove onto I-95 northbound, where a chase ensued.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office took over the pursuit once Hanna entered that county.

The truck was eventually stopped along the Turnpike in Boynton Beach and Hanna was taken into custody without incident.

There were no injuries.
