Two Palm Beach County state legislators have filed identical bills to allow for the public release of sealed grand jury records in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The legislation filed by Democrat Senator Tina Polsky and Republican State Representative Peggy Gossett-Seidman, both of Boca Raton, would amend the Florida statutes to allow Palm Beach County's Clerk of Court and Comptroller to release the records if a judge ordered the disclosure of the grand jury testimony.

Epstein died of an apparent suicide while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges related to paying underage girls for sex, many of them from our area.

His one-time girlfriend and longtime confidant Ghislaine Maxwell is serving time for helping Epstein.
