Student arrested for writing threat on stall in Florida school bathroom

Cape Coral, FL - A 19-year-old student was arrested after she admitted to writing a threat on a bathroom stall in a Southwest Florida high school.

Cape Coral Police arrested 19-year-old Madison Trumpy after Trumpy wrote “I have a gun in my bookbag, and I am going to kill all of you! You better run!” in one of the girl’s restrooms at Cape Coral High School.

Trumpy was identified by school administrators who reviewed surveillance footage near the restroom.

Another student also told administrators they witnessed Trumpy write the message.

Investigators matched the writing on the stall with Trumpy's and placed her under arrest.

The 19-year-old admitted to writing the threat and told investigators she was behind a bomb threat written on August 17th in the girl's restroom.

Trumpy was taken to Lee County Jail and charged with written or electronic threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting.
