A machine recount is underway in the Republican primary for Congressional District 22.
Dan Franzese has a 133 vote lead over Deborah Adiemy, which is a margin of .38 percent. Any race with a candidate having less than a half a percentage point lead goes to an automatic recount.
According to a spokeswoman for the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, the recount is expected to last into Friday night.
The winner of the primary faces Democrat Congresswoman Lois Frankel in November.
