Palm Beach, FL - A man paid $1,800 to have a plane fly a banner that read "ha ha ha" over former President Donald Trump's South Florida estate following Monday's raid of Mar-a-Lago.
Thomas Kennedy, a self-professed critic of the former President, hired a plane to fly a banner over Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate on Wednesday, just days after the estate was raided by the FBI.
Kennedy told NBC 6 he paid for the banner spotted near the estate and around South Florida because “it brought me a lot of joy to do so. I would do it again.”
According to Kennedy, he and a group of friends paid $1,800 to fly the banner for three hours following Monday's raid of Mar-a-Lago.
People familiar with the investigation say the raid of the estate was part of an investigation into whether the former President took classified records from the White House to his Florida residence.
NBC 6 News reports "the Justice Department has been investigating the potential mishandling of classified information since the National Archives and Records Administration said it had received from Mar-a-Lago 15 boxes of White House records, including documents containing classified information, earlier this year."
