Miami, FL - A man accused of selling industrial bleach as a cure to the COVID-19 virus has been returned to the United States after being arrested in Colombia.

64-year-old Mark Grenon was arrested for selling chlorine dioxide as a "Miracle Mineral Solution," claiming the solution could cure a variety of illnesses, including COVID-19, cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, autism, malaria, hepatitis, Parkinson’s, herpes, HIV/AIDS, and other serious medical conditions.

Grenon is the archbishop of the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing in Bradenton, Florida.

A federal judge ordered the church to stop selling the solution in 2020, but the order was ignored.

Grenon and his three sons, Jonathan Grenon, 36, Jordan Grenon, 28, and Joseph Grenon, 34, were indicted on one count each of conspiracy to commit fraud and two counts each of criminal contempt.

Grenon was arrested in Columbia and made his first court appearance in Miami on Thursday.

His trial is set to begin on September 12th.
