South Florida lawn care workers robbed of equipment at gunpoint

North Miami, FL - A group of South Florida lawncare workers had their equipment stolen at gun point on Tuesday.

One of the workers, who wished to remain anonymous, spoke to 7 News regarding the robbery, telling the outlet "we were just doing the yard, and then the guy in the gray four-door vehicle pulled up in a gray hoodie and jumped out with a firearm, grabbed my blower, jumped and took off."

The worker says Tuesday was a typical day at work, until her crew was robbed by the thieves on Northwest 125th Street in North Miami.

The worker says one of the thieves almost got injured during the heist, telling 7News "they were so anxious to leave. We seen them leaving. They almost drug him."

Workers told responding officers they tried chasing after the thieves but lost them.
