Tornado Confirmed In Northern Palm Beach County By National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday afternoon.

The EF-0 traveled at 85 miles per hour as it tossed heavy debris around a playground at a community center.

Several people took to social media to share video of the funnel cloud near Palm Beach Gardens High School. No word of any injuries.

Lightning is believed to have sparked at least 18 fires in trees, brush and grass, according to Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue. There is also significant flooding in the Gardens and North Palm Beach areas.
