A Florida woman gets ten years in prison as part of a plea deal in the death of her infant son.

9-month old Cameron Davis died in a tub at his home in Martin County just days before Christmas in 2019.

Sheriff William Snyder says Heather Clifford put the child in the water then fell asleep. The boy's father was also sleeping at the time.

"For some period of time, at least twenty minutes, that child was left alone in the bathtub. When she came back she found the baby, what they described as blue."

Clifford accepted an agreement with prosecutors this week in which she pleaded no contest but did not accept guilt.

While she got a ten year sentence, the woman gets credit for the more than two years she's already served.
