DENVER -- The FBI's Denver office has released the preliminary results of the Teton County coroner's autopsy on a woman's body found Sunday.
The FBI says Teton County coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed the remains are of Gabrielle Verona Petito, age 22. The manner of death is homicide. The cause of death will be determined in final autopsy results. "The FBI and its partners remain committed to ensuring anyone responsible for or complicit in Ms. Petito's death is held accountable," Special Agent in Charge Michael Schneider said.
The FBI and other agencies continue looking for Petito's fiance Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in her disappearance, and now, her death.
