A former FSU football star who is charged with murder and attempted murder will stay behind bars.
A judge on Thursday denied bond for 25-year old Travis Rudolph, who was arrested Wednesday in Palm Beach County for a double shooting in Lake Park that left one man dead and another injured.
Deputies say he shot at four men who showed up at his home to confront Rudolph about a fight he had with his girlfriend.
The wide receiver spent one day on the Miami Dolphins practice squad before suffering from an ACL tear and being waived.
After playing for the Seminoles, Rudolph started his short lived NFL career with the New York Giants, who picked him up as an undrafted rookie after the 2017 Draft.
Rudolph's head coach at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Steve Walsh, wonders if the death of his father by an accidental shooting in 2017 didn't lead to his life going off the rails.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League released him after his arrest.
Rudolph is due back in court on May 7.
