A pair of legislative committees meeting today to discuss Florida's response to the pandemic. Governor Ron DeSantis says Florida is a role model for the vaccine rollout. He says 60-percent of all shots in the state have gone to the elderly, in most other states it's under 25-percent. State Surgeon General Scott Rivkees will address the Senate Select Committee on Pandemic Preparedness. The House Pandemics and Public Emergencies Committee will review the state's emergency management and mitigation plan plus talk about how the state can respond to future threats. The 60-day regular session begins March 2nd.
