Free Virtual Tutoring Offered For MDPS Students

There's relief for parents pulling out their hair trying to keep up with their kids school work. Miami-Dade Public Schools is partnering with Florida International University to virtually tutor kids in need of extra help. The idea is the brain child of 23-year-old Matthew Hey-a 3rd year medical student-who is supposed to be doing on-site training, but because of a shortage of personal protective equipment he's at home. The free Zoom tutoring sessions will cover 30 subjects, all volunteer medical student have gone through a Level 2 federal background check. Sessions will be held 7-days a week from 3 until 8 p.m
