Red Wings Blank Lightning

The Detroit Red Wings (23-21-5) blanked the Tampa Bay Lightning (26-19-3) 2-0 on Saturday night in Detroit. For the Lightning, it was their first shutout loss since November 2023.

Cam Talbot made 28 saves for Detroit, en route to his 33rd shutout in the NHL. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 29-of-30 in net for the Lightning, who were playing in the second game of a back-to-back after getting a 4-3 win over the Blackhawks in Detroit on Friday night.

The Lightning return home for the next five games, beginning with a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night. Puck drop from Amalie Arena on Tuesday is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
