The New Jersey Devils (26-15-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (22-15-3) 3-2 on Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey.
Tied 2-2 after three periods, it was Stefan Noesen coming through with the game winner in overtime. The Lightning got goals from Victor Hedman and Nikita Kucherov in the loss - the goal from Kucherov came at the 8:05 mark in the third period and helped the Lightning earn a point in this one.
The LIghtning will be back in action in the second game of a back-to-back on Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Puck drop between the Lightning and Penguins is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Sunday evening in Pittsburgh.
