COVID Shots Expected To Be Available At South Florida Schools This Week

The COVID vaccine rollout expected to begin this week in South Florida schools. FIU Infectious Disease specialist Dr. Aileen Marty says Miami-Dade was supposed to start with a mobile clinic at Booker T. Washington Senior High yesterday, but it was canceled as the system awaits delivery of doses. Broward is expected to begin on-site vaccinations for children ages 5 and older Wednesday at 40 different locations. Any student under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Select Publix, CVS and Walmart pharmacies started administering the approved Pfizer kid shots last week.
