Sleeping Driver Stopped By Cops

A Canadian driver is in trouble, accused of sleeping at the wheel while his Tesla was speeding down the highway at 93-miles-per-hour.

The incident happened over the summer but was just reported by Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The Mounties say the 2019 Tesla Model S appeared to be self-driving and travelling more than 90-mph with “both front seats completely reclined” and “both occupants appearing to be asleep.”

According to Global News:

"Police charged the driver, a British Columbia man, with speeding and issued a 24-hour licence suspension. After further investigation and consultation with the Crown, the driver was charged with dangerous driving."

The driver is set to appear in Canadian court in December.
