Aventura Red Light Camera Case Gets It's Day In High Court

Florida's highest court will settle a dispute about whether Aventura's red-light camera program violates state traffic laws.

Motorist Lee Stein is challenging a ruling by the 3rd District Court of Appeal that backed the north Miami-Dade city in the dispute.

The fight goes all the way back to 2014 when Stein got a red-light ticket.

Aventura and other cities have different guidelines, leading Stein to argue, in part, that Aventura violated a state requirement of uniform traffic laws.
