If you're going to take a break at work, make sure you put down your phone.
A new study finds that smartphone use during a work break leads to mental fatigue and a poorer performance.
More than 400 people were in a study that separated them into groups that took breaks with their phone, another group that went shopping online, or looked at newspaper circulars, and a third group that used the break time to decompress.
When the break was done, the group that used their cellphones took 19% longer to complete puzzles and 22% to finish tasks.
