Spider-Man Sculpture Called Satanic

A Nebraska woman apparently isn't a comic book fan because she just complained to the mayor about a new sculpture that she called "Devil Horns" when it's actually Spider-Man's web slingers.

The "Lincoln Journal Star" reports that a woman wrote to the mayor demanding action. She said the sculpture of red hands with painted black stripes was "anti-Christian," "demonic," and a "hate crime against the church."

The six-foot statue of Spider-Man's hands shows him shooting webs from his wrists.

The email to the mayor said the sculpture was completely inappropriate for the public, family park.

The city explained to the woman that the artwork was one of 50 sculptures that's part of the "Serving Hands Lincoln" art installation.
