Florida Moves Closer to Changing the Smoking Age to 21

TALLAHASSEE -- A Florida House committee is moving a bill forward that would raise the smoking age. The proposed legislation was passed by the House Appropriations Committee yesterday. It would change the minimum age to possess tobacco or vaping products from 18 to 21. With one exception for those who are in the military, would be exempt from age restrictions. The measure would also set 21 as the age minimum for all smoke-able forms of medical marijuana.
