Presidential Candidate Amy Klobuchar Talks Health Care in Miami

Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar is in Florida today, talking about health care policy with medical leaders in Miami.

The Minnesota senator doesn't agree with other presidential candidates who want to expand Medicare for all, but she wants to adopt policies that make insurance affordable while lowering the costs of prescription drugs.

Klobuchar also heard from health care executives who say they struggle to find enough qualified workers to staff their facilities.

Before discussing health care at the University of Miami, Senator Klobuchar stopped in Doral to talk to Venezuelan leaders about the ongoing crisis and ways the Trump administration could extend Temporary Protected Status to the people who have fled to the U.S. to escape the Maduro regime.
