It's been more than a year since the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and new lawsuits are being filed in the case.
At least 20 new suits are being filed by shooting survivors and their families.
Defendants named in the cases include the Broward County School Board, the Broward Sheriff's Office, and retired school resource officer Scot Peterson.
The legal action is being announced this morning at a press conference in Fort Lauderdale.
Among those filing suit is Mitch Dworet. His son Nicholas was killed in the shooting, but his son, Alexander, survived.
