On Tuesday:
- A House committee approved a bill that would require police to have a warrant prior to tapping digital assistants for any revealing information on a suspect.
- A Senate committee approved easing the standards and licensing requirements for dozens of trade professions, one of Governor DeSantis’s points of focus in his State of the State address.
- A bill unanimously passed a House committee that would enable victims of domestic abuse to collect unemployment should they need to quit their jobs to relocate.
