A 20-year-old convicted of raping his neighbor will spend the majority of his life behind bars.
West Palm Beach jurors found Timothy Walding guilty of sexual battery, false imprisonment and armed burglary. Prosecutors say Walding broke into his 35-year-old neighbor's house, tied her up and sexually assaulted her for 90 minutes. According to the police report, Walden asked he victim to not tell anyone what happened. When he left she dialed 911.
In court Walding told the courtroom he felt mowing the victim's lawn and other chores would be a reasonable punishment.
The judge didn't think so and sentenced him to a mandatory 50-years for the crime committed in Oct. 2017.
