Texas A&M University Football Players Robbed and Shot in Miami-Dade

Two Texas college football players are recovering from gunshot wounds at a south Florida hospital.

According to Texas A&M University-Commerce, Jay Bias and Xavier Morris, both red shirt-sophomore linebackers, were on spring break vacation in SOFLO when they were robbed at gunpoint while visiting an unspecified area in Miami-Dade County.

The school’s Athletic Director Tim McMurray and Head Football Coach David Bailiff released a statement saying they are currently en route to Florida to be with the students to offer support.
