Study Shows How Violent Mexico Has Become

A just-completed study by the Citizens’ Council for Public Security and Criminal Justice found alarming news about what’s happening just south of our southern border. It’s about the most violent place in the world. Even I’m a little surprised by this one. The study used per capita homicide rates as the basis for this study. The top six most violent cities were:

  • #6: Irapuato, Mexico
  • #5: Juarez, Mexico
  • #4: Victoria, Mexico
  • #3: Caracas, Venezuela
  • #2: Acapulco, Mexico
  • #1: Tijuana, Mexico

Gives you the warm and fuzzies, right? Not to mention that the most violent of all is a border city to California. It’s almost hard to imagine that political opponents of President Trump are so dedicated to their political power and resistance to him, that they would just continue to ignore information like this. But they do. The Border Patrol asked for the wall before Donald Trump was even on the political radar. Today, the head of the Border Patrol calls the situation at the southern border a “crisis”. The Border Patrol head under President Obama continues to implore President Trump to stay the course and build the wall because it’s desperately needed. Yet, Democrats along with a pocket of Republicans, who also apparently haven’t read and understood the Constitution, continue to attempt to stop the president from doing what’s needed.

When will facts and public safety matter more than politics? The only mandated responsibility of our federal government is to provide for our safety and yet here we are. Thank God for President Trump’s resolve on this issue. It will literally save lives.
