Jazz enthusiasts from across the country are heading to South Florida this weekend for the 14th annual Jazz In The Gardens concert. The event dates are March 9 & 10, 2019.
Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert says 50-thousand jazz fans are expected Saturday and Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium for the star-studded event including Lionel Richie, Stephanie Mills, and En Vogue.
He says the event is credited for giving Miami Gardens plus Miami-Dade and Broward Counties a 7-million-dollar economic boost.
Security is being beefed like it is for every stadium event, so don't be surprised to see a heavy police presence.
